Individuals and organizations can contribute to Social Venture Partners Minnesota in a variety of ways.
1. PARTNER
Partners contribute $5,400 and a minimum
of 24-service hours annually. Funds are
donated in cash, corporate matching funds,
or stock transfers. All funds are managed
through The Minneapolis Foundation until
they are invested in the non-profit organizations
we select. In the past five years, Social Venture Partners Minnesota has awarded over $505,000 to eight organizations; and directed hundreds of service hours to each.
2. ASSOCIATES Associates of Social Venture Partners Minnesota are: Individuals or organizations that provide valuable professional expertise to our investees via a $1,000 financial contribution and a minimum of 96 hours of service per year.
3. FELLOWS
A Fellow is sponsored by their employer or business and commits to giving their technical or management expertise to capacity building projects for our investees for a total of 144 hours a year. One half of the 144 hours is donated by the Fellow's employer as the Fellow works on projects 'on-the-clock', and the other half of the service hours come from the Fellow's personal time.
4. FRIENDS
Friends of Social Venture Partners Minnesota are defined as: individuals or organizations that provide valuable a minimum of $10,000 of ‘in-kind’ goods or services to our organization such as: PR, advertising, photography, printing, web design and other professional services.
5. COMMUNITY / CORPORATE SPONSORS
Provide seed money, grants or matching funds from both local and national Community Fund resources or marketing dollars from local and national corporations in alignment with the mission of Social Venture Partners Minnesota.
